Qualification: Social Pedagogy / Social Work – GSCC registration

The London School of Economics is evaluating the work and you could be part of ground-breaking social work practice in London!
Are you experienced in Child Protection (in or outside the UK) and are you ready for your first taste of management? You do not need experience in supervision or management – you need to demonstrate that you can lead a small team, manage complex cases and work creatively.
The chosen methods are Social Learning Theory and Systemic Family Therapy. European ways of working, such as Social Pedagogy fit well. We are looking for people want to take responsibility and work creatively with families – you will be able to authorize defined spending on families.
Across Children’s Services there are 48 units of 5 staff:
Consultant Social Workers – 70-80% Social Work, 30-20% management
Qualified Social Worker – supervised by Consultant Social Worker
Children’s Practitioner – supervised by Consultant Social Worker
Family Therapist – managed by Clinical Manager
Unit Coordinator – managed by Admin Manager
Transfer between teams is possible after probation.
Please apply if you:
• Have a Social Pedagogy or Social Work qualification
• Have good English and can write good reports
• Have Child Protection experience, particularly complex cases
• Can work with laws and are willing to learn English laws
• Have experience of working closely with a variety of agencies and professionals
• Are willing to work with Social Learning Theory and Systemic Family Therapy
• Are resilient and ready for a new challenge
