You will be undertaking a caseload of statutory work in child protection, working with children, young people and their families. You would have to assess situations and determine the need for intervention or support.

Requirements:

• Qualification in Social Work
• Be in the process of GSCC registration, or GSCC registered – VERY IMPORTANT!!!!
• Very good English skills
• Be able to identify problems with some complexity
• Have a good understanding of child developmental needs
• Have good knowledge of social work practice as applied to children and families
• Ideally work experience a social work setting (placements are considered)
• Good emphatic skills
• Strong communication skills
• Good report writing skills
• Be open minded, a good teamworker, reliable, and positive.
• Driving license essential
